Cocoon&me Online Events With The Creative Craft Show and Thread
Last week we brought you news that Cocoon&me were featuring in last Sunday’s You Magazine (Mail on Sunday). Our Modern Macramé Wall Hanging ‘Ella’ was on the ‘You will love’ page. If you were unable to purchase a copy on the 7th June, you can find the online version here. Thank you for all your interest & orders!
As many of the Craft Shows & events Cocoon&me were planning to participate in this year have been cancelled or postponed due to Covid-19, we are happy to announce two virtual events that are taking place within the next few days.
This Friday 12th June @ 7pm Cocoon&me will be presenting a Macramé Plant Hanger session, based on our Beginners’ Macramé Plant Hanger Pattern, as part of the Creative Craft Show Crafting Live event. You can follow this event live on the Craft Shows’ Facebook page, or catch up at a later date at this link: www.facebook.com/thecraftshows . Paula will be showing different stages on how to create a Plant Hanger, demonstrating various macramé knots. Everything required for this project, pattern (both digital & hard copy), yarn, wooden hoops & S hooks to work are available from our website shop.
This weekend (Saturday 13th & Sunday 14th June) we have the Virtual Thread Festival. This online Instagram event will feature mini-talks, the launch of the community arm of the ‘Stitching Together’ project with textile artist Alice Kettle, and a Saturday evening social, co-hosted by Charlotte Newland, winner of The Great British Sewing Bee 2016. Thread festival’s virtual marketplace will be hosted on the Farnham Maltings craft website to help followers connect directly to their favourite makers and fabric suppliers. As a participating exhibitor we will be joined by The Maker’s Atelier, Cloth & Candy and The Make Arcade, and many more, will be featured on the @threadfestival Instagram grid, as well as live sessions throughout the day. Followers will be able to catch up on missed live sessions on IGTV. Follow @threadfestival on Instagram to join the festival.
We hope you will join us, & we look forward to ‘seeing’ you there.
