Crocheting with chunky yarn is so satisfying as your works grows fast ! This two colour Crochet Storage Basket is a quick & easy project using 9mm & 5mm thick recycled cotton yarn from Bobbiny which we also sell .

You can also make this in a single colours so will only need the 9mm yarn in your choice of colour. You will also need a 15mm crochet hook ! However, you can always use other yarns like a recycled jersey yarn. I would use 2 ends for a sturdy basket, or ply up your favourite yarn till you have a
similar 9mm thickness.

This basket is so useful, it can be used as a bag, pot for a plant , on the allotment, toy storage or for your yarn stash !

Medium basket:

75m of 9mm recycled cotton braid for main colour

15m of each colour in 5mm for the two-colour stripe rows

10m in contrast tipping colour in 9mm

A 15mm recycled cotton crochet hook.

Mini Basket

40m of 9mm recycled cotton braid for main colour

12m of each colour in 5mm for the two-colour stripe rows

8m in contrast tipping colour in 9mm

A 15mm recycled cotton crochet hook.

We will send you a hard copy of this pattern. plus a 15mm hook, which is smaller than the recommended size for this yarn, as you need a rigid construction for the basket.
